The RSA Academy in Tipton was the first academy to be sponsored by the RSA, it is now sponsored by RSA Academies, it opened to students aged 11-18 for the first time in September 2008.  RSA Academy is larger than the average secondary school and draws students from the heart of Sandwell borough.

Their mission is to develop well-rounded individuals who are successful in all aspects of their lives; citizens who can make a difference on a local and global scale and young people who have high aspirations for themselves and their community. RSA Academy students will be equipped with the knowledge, skills and competences to allow them to thrive in an ever-changing world.

The RSA Academy works closely with Arrow Vale RSA Academy, Ipsley CE RSA Academy, Abbeywood First School and Church Hill Middle School and as part of the Central RSA Academies Trust.
