Ipsley Academy students visit the RSA

On 26th January, 15 students from Ipsley CE RSA Academy came to visit the RSA after having had a tour of the Houses of Parliament. Once they had all consumed their much-needed packed lunches, the students were treated to a tour of the RSA archives and of the building.

Students really enjoyed “learning about the history of the RSA because it was fun to learn about the founders” (Cerys, Year 8) and “what it means to be a Fellow” (Jake, Year 8). They particularly liked the way the RSA building is “made up of lots of different houses put together” (Ryan E, Year 7) and the chance to explore “lots of old artefacts” (Ryan C, Year 7) in the RSA archives.

Although the students were only here for a few hours before they headed back to Redditch, it was a pleasure having them at the RSA and we hope Ipsley students can visit us again soon!
