The Health Careers Special Making a Difference was streamed live at 10:00 on Wednesday 26 June. It’s free for all schools and is available to view on demand at any time afterwards.
The programme is produced in association with NHS Health Education England – and showcases the 14 Allied Health Professions, who make up a third of the NHS workforce.
The lesson plans have been authored by the highly respected VotesforSchools whose teachers prepare weekly SMSC and PSHE lesson plans and activities for schools across the country.
The lesson plan materials attached below include a PSHE-aligned lesson for teachers to use before students watch the health careers special.
It also sets out for teachers first ideas for how healthcare careers can link to subjects and learning across the curriculum and how The WOW Show is helping to address the Gatsby benchmarks.
We hope these free resources will be a significant help for schools and benefit to all careers leads.
